NEWMAN QUALIFIES FOR 3rd OLYMPIC TRIALS - LYONS MAKES BOSTON STANDARD
October 13, 2002 - Chicago Marathon - Mark Newman ran like a veteran to claim his third Olympic Marathon Trials qualifier with his impressive 2:21:26. Joel Lyons ran 3:13:52 (3:13:24); Sarah Rowe ran 03:59:16 (03:53:01) which is not bad for someone who was attacked during the race and had her shoe thrown off a bridge by some male jerk runner. I thought football was aggressive.
